The European Centre for Economic & Social Research (ECESR), in cooperation with the agency MNFORCE, conducted a survey in March 2026 focusing on the digital marketing budgets of Slovak companies. The research was based on a sample of 200 respondents from different types of enterprises, with marketing managers, co-owners, and company owners forming the largest groups.

The results show that companies are approaching 2026 rather cautiously. Almost half of the respondents expect digital marketing budgets to remain unchanged, 41% anticipate an increase, and only 12% expect a decrease. When evaluating the performance of digital campaigns, companies most frequently monitor website traffic and reach, while more advanced indicators such as ROI remain less represented.

Respondents identified social media, e-mail marketing, and content marketing as the most effective digital marketing tools. Another notable finding is that the use of AI tools is still largely in the testing phase. Only a smaller share of companies report active use, while most are still experimenting with these technologies. When selecting a digital marketing agency, com

panies most often consider price, creativity, expertise, and measurable results.

Overall, the survey suggests that Slovak companies view digital marketing as an important part of their operations, but in 2026 they are approaching it in a pragmatic way, with emphasis on efficiency, stability, and the gradual adoption of new technologies.
